| The
military style jacket John is wearing was auctioned in 2005. It was
said to have been "worn by Lennon in the famous issue of Life magazine
from the historic photo session by Henry Grossman". Not quite, on
the LIFE cover John wears a different outfit. The book "Sgt.
Pepper" (Paul Wane) states that "Life magazine was present at
the recording sessions on the 28th February". This and the fact that
Ringo seems to wear the same shirt suggest that these photos were
all taken on the same day. |
