29. March 1967 - EMI Studios - Recording "Mr. Kite" (overdubs) and "With a little help from my friends"
The day started with a jam session, John and Paul on guitars and Ringo on drums.

The only photos of Paul with guitar, so maybe it comes from the jam session. Ringo seems to hold a tape-recorder, he played a demo of a song of his after the "Kite" overdubs.

As John played guitar during the jam as well as during the rehearsals for "With a little help..." the first photo might come from either. John shows the hand-sprayed back of his guitar.

Paul taking photos. John on guitar and Ringo on drums. While Ringo played the same the same instrument during the proper takes of "With a little help..." but John didn`t I assume this is from the jam.

  Ringo now with microphone

Paul adjusts a mic, John sat down and George plays the organ (?). George at organ (?) George behind the organ (?)

I believe these two photos belong together. Paul wears John`s hat Ringo in conversation with the women from the teenage magazine?

What are they looking at? Guitar? Harmonica?

"Being for the benefi..." receives overdubs: "a swirling organ" by GM and (according to Winn) simultaniously another harmonica overdub, this time by John and George. Photo 2 and 3 might be the same.

These photos could be related to the "Kite..." overdub or to proper takes of "With a litlle help...", where GM also played organ. Notice the hat in the second photo.

John in the control room - photos taken from the studion floor and behind the mixing desk

Paul introduces the song he wrote for Ringo, "With a little help from my friends" (working title "Bad Finger Boogie") John without hat

This could be from later in the session too.

George and John have joined Ringo and Paul at the piano Paul must`ve quickly changed his jacket!?! (BMB Nov. 1991)

Without Paul

Without Paul Ringo alone on the piano
This second photo could be an excerpt of the first one or the one that is shown in two versions below.
John leaned his guitar to the chair and moved the second piano a bit futher away to play it. They might record a rehearsal (headphones + open piano lids) George is chatting in the background.

A alternate shot and a excerpt of it - look at John`s hands to spot the difference.

Not sure about the sequence. Piano lids open, chair with John`s guitar gone, he is the only wearing headphones, having taken it off in the second photos (but you can still see the cable), Ringo stands.

No more headphones, no chair with guitar, Ringo stands, lids open. I wonder how George Martin liked to see the drink-carton on the top of the piano, looking like it might fall into it any moment.
